On December 1-2, 2023, the YNS team conducted Positive Discipline training for School Supervisors, Principals, and teachers from Elementary Schools at the Suni Hotel in Jayapura. A total of 28 participants attended the training, representing Sarmi Regency, Central Mamberamo Regency, and Jayapura Regency.
In this training, in addition to refreshing participants on previously covered material, the YNS team also introduced new content on character development for children through instilling 8 fundamental moral values and a 4-step approach. Participants were very enthusiastic about the training because, in addition to its interactive nature, it addressed real-life cases or issues faced by teachers in their respective schools. Moreover, participants expressed that the training provided new and needed insights that they hadn’t encountered before in the field.
